In October 2012, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine lifted the term "experimental" from egg freezing. This is a topic about which there is very little information, so knowing someone's personal experience helps. I elected to freeze my eggs in spring 2013. This is a retrospective journal of my experience with "egg freezing," a.k.a egg vitrification. I intend to detail both the clinical aspects of the experience as well as more philosophical thoughts.
